JAMB RELEASES 2024 UTME RESULT

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has released the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME results. Over 1.94 million candidates registered and sat the examination in 118 towns and over 700 centres across the country. The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede announced the release of the results at a press conference held at the board’s headquarters, Bwari, in Abuja on Monday. The examination which began on Friday, 19th April ended on Monday, 29th April 2024. HOW TO CHECK YOUR JAMB RESULT FOR 2024 To check the JAMB 2024 UTME result, candidates can visit the JAMB portal and enter their phone number, registration number, or email address. Alternatively, they can check their result via SMS by sending UTMERESULT to either 55019 or 66019 using the phone number they registered with. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the step-by-step guide for UTME and Direct Entry candidates to generate profile code and how they can purchase e-Pin for new and previously used phone number. ALERT! Previously Used Numbers for JAMB Registrations can only be re-used by the same Candidate (Not another candidate) A Previously Used Number is a GSM Telephone Number (SIM) used for Profile Code Creation, e-PIN Vending and Registration in Previous Registration Exercises. This can be used for the 2023 Registration ONLY BY THE SAME CANDIDATE. The Candidate who is using his/her previous number for the second or third time will use the same profile code to purchase the new e-PIN. If the Profile Code has been forgotten, the candidate can send RESEND to 55019 or 66019and he/she would recover the Old Profile Code. NLC, TUC Suspends Planned Strike, FG To(DETAILS)

Organised labour have suspended its planned nationwide indefinite strike action for the next month. This was contained in a memorandum of understanding signed Monday by the NLC President, Joe Ajaero, and General Secretary, Emmanuel Ugboaja; as well as the TUC President, Festus Osifo, and Secretary General, Nuhu Toro. The three-page document was also signed by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Simon Lalong; Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Dr Nkeiruka Onyejeocha; and Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris. “The NLC and TUC accept to suspend for 30 days the planned Indefinite Nationwide strike scheduled to begin, Tuesday, the 3rd of October, 2023,” the MoU reads in part. “The Federal Government grants a wage award of N35,000 (thirty-five thousand Naira) only to all Federal Government workers beginning from the month of September pending when a new national minimum wage is expected to have been signed into law.” The decisions come at the end of a

The Federal Government has suspended N-Power program indefinitely. Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu, announced the indefinite suspension while speaking in an interview on TVC News on Saturday. Meanwhile, the minister said the government has launched investigation into the utilization of funds since the inception of the program. She stated that some of the beneficiaries are not found in their place of assignments yet they expect monthly stipends. The minister said some of the beneficiaries ought to have exited the program since 2022 but are still on the payroll. She said, “We must go back to look into N-Power and understand what the problems are so we will basically suspend the programe for now until we are done with proper investigation into the utilization of fund into the N-Power program. “We want to know how many persons are basically on the program right now, how many persons are owed, amount they are owed.
